St Peter’s Cathedral, responding to an appeal by Anglicare SA, has had an excellent response to requests for household items to help refugees settle into the community. The donations of household goods, from essentials to decorative items, will help make a house into a home for refugee families.

Items donated have included: kitchenware, pictures, linen and appliances, all given by members of the Cathedral congregation and the wider community.

Collected over the past weeks the pile is now beginning to engulf the John Dunn Room, used for choir rehearsals. That said it is not too late to drop your donations off.

On Saturday the items will be packed into ‘Homemaker Kits’, and will then be distributed by Anglicare to refugee families living in and around Adelaide.
