Funeral - Sir Donald Dunstan

Lieutenant General Sir Donald Dunstan AC KBE CB (Rtd) was born in Australia on 18 February 1923 and passed away in Australia on 15 October 2011 aged 88 Years

A State Military Funeral was held for Sir Donald at St Peter's Cathedral, 27 King William Road, North Adelaide on Tuesday the 25th October 2011 at 11:00am.

In military tradition the coffin arrived at the Cathedral on a gun carriage.

The presider was the Archbishop of Adelaide The Most Reverend Dr Jeffrey Driver and the Officiant was Padre Neil Mathieson, Chaplain AUR.

Eulogies were presented by The Honourable Jat Weatherill MP, Premier of Suth Australia, Major General Peter Phillips AO MC (Rtd) and Brigadier Peter Badman LVO (Rtd).
